About this event

The Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) will host two free application preparation webinars to discuss the guidelines and online application process for the FY23-24 General Operating Support II Grants (GOS II). The webinars will also cover navigating the online SurveyMonkey Apply (SMApply) grants portal.

The webinars will take place on:

  • Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Instructions on how to join will be sent via email to registrants on the day of the webinar.

Please make sure to have the following materials ready before joining:

  • A computer with a strong internet connection (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox recommended) to join the webinar and access the online application; and

Both webinars will cover the same material. Applicants are not required to attend preparation webinars, however AHCMC recommends that all applicants attend. New applicants are highly encouraged to contact AHCMC grants staff and attend one webinar prior to applying.

About this Grant Category

General Operating Support II Grants (GOS II) are available to non-profit arts and/or humanities organizations located in Montgomery County, MD that have had both cash operating expenses and revenue of at least $150,000 for the last three completed fiscal years. FY23-24 grants will be awarded for activities occurring from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024. General operating support is defined as support for day-to-day operating costs to further the general mission or work of an organization rather than for a specific project. Grant awards support organizations that work in a wide array of arts and humanities disciplines including performing arts, media arts, visual arts, literary arts, and folk and traditional arts, history, and philosophy.

All Letters of Intent, applications , and relevant materials must be submitted through the online SurveyMonkey Apply (SMApply) grants portal.
